Ms. Barnes at Booker T. Washington High School is requesting volunteers to assist in the prevention of truancy for the upcoming school year. She needs volunteers to contact parents between the hours of 10-2pm from the dates of 8/15 through 9/16.
If you know of someone who may be interested, please provide them with the information below.
• Volunteers are needed to make phone calls to
students who are enrolled in Booker T. Washington HS but have not yet reported to school. The Booker T. Washington staff will generate a list of students with phone numbers. Volunteers will document whether or
not they made contact with the parent/student.
• Starting Monday, August 15th - tentatively
Friday, September 16th
• 2-3 Volunteers needed each day from 10 AM - 2
PM. The need will be based on the number of
No-Shows.
• BTW will set-up a space for volunteers to
make calls.
